Check your instruction manual

Tips to tune up your air conditioning

SWITCH
Do not make any changes to your air conditioning without turning off the switch in the home’s electrical panel.
This way, the repair will be done safely.
REVISION
Secondly, we must check two of the most important parts of our air conditioning: the cables and pipes.
Damage to the cables can cause an electrical failure. A blockage in the pipes can cause failures in the outdoor unit of our machine.
CLEANING
Cleaning an air conditioner is based on two parts: cleaning the indoor unit and cleaning the outdoor unit.
To carry out a good cleaning of the outdoor unit we should take into account the following tips:
- Leaves, soil or other items can be stored in the outdoor unit. Everything decreases the capacity in the system and impairs air flow.
- Remove anything that could be harmful or cause a blockage
- Clean the condenser
Regarding the indoor unit , the tips for cleaning are:
- Start by cleaning the filters. The biggest problems are occasions for them.
- A dirty filter can increase your consumption by 5% or even 15%.
- If our air is double filtered, it can reduce the accumulation of dust, bacteria and allergens.
REMOTE CONTROL
Take the air control and select the fan operating mode and leave it activated for approximately half an hour to eliminate any dust and dirt that may have accumulated on the blades during the months of inactivity.
